Promising Career.
Jack McDonald was introduced to the game of golf at a young age by his grandfather and father. He was given his first set of clubs when he was 8 years old and started playing competitively at the age of 13. Becoming aware of his talent, Jack joined the Scottish Golf Performance Academy for three years, a national programme for Scotland’s talented young golfers, providing young players with coaching and support to maximise their potential.
Jack has played in national events since he was 15 and won his first national title, the Faldo Series Scotland at Bruntsfield Links in Edinburgh, at the age of 17. With this he qualified for the Faldo Series Grand Final at Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Centre in Abu Dhabi.
Jack has had a successful start to the season and after recently winning the Tennant Cup at Glasgow Golf Club has been chosen to represent Scotland at the Dutch Junior Open. The prestigious event will be held at Golf Club Troxandia between the 13th and 16th July 2022.
